It was fantastic, there were a wide variety of ages and influences and styles. Only thing is my audition is now in two weeks. I know what I'm going to do though so i will just work on that and make a couple of changes

"make a couple of changes" you mean "tailor and personalise" - same thing but sounds more Impressive :D !!!

Glad you enjoyed it and I have no doubt your audition will go well because you clearly have just the right positive attitude! Please tell us all about it and bear in mind if you need any advice, just ask and we'll do all we can to help.

Just a quick update, i have scheduled my audition for Tuesday the 22nd of this month

I tested it out the night before last and it went well, I'm doing my take on the Crusade ACAAN so hopefully i should be ok

I've had an interest in magic since i was around 8 years old, all be it on and off, i have recently started to look into mentalism and working it with my card work

I recently bought Myke Phillips 'Olivia' and Michael Murray's 'A Piece of my mind'

I bought the Bob Cassidy ebook to help with his illness also

But i realised one thing, i've never really performed for people that i do not know

I feel fairly relaxed about it and I'm hoping that it may be easier not knowing a person as they don't have expectations

We will see haha

Well everyone I'm in, but it was hellish

Basically i picked an ACAAN effect, the effect was 5% skill 95% presentation

It got to the final reveal of the thought of card at the thought of number and it was wrong

I wanted the floor to open up and swallow me, they were all cool about it and asked me to do it again

Only this time i couldn't go through the whole script and just did the trick, this kind of ruined it for me as it went from an effect to just another trick in my eyes.

Anyways second time worked out, thank God. After they voted there was mention of a shuffle that was done the first time and not the second, this isn't went wrong as i wouldn't of affected the outcome

After everything i was talking to the volunteer, his number was 6 and i had said if your number was 1 then think of the first card, if 2 the second etc. He should of thought of the sixth card but instead waited until he had seen a 6 and remembered that.

Anyways that's what happened, i am in but i don't feel like it. Now i have to work on something to redeem myself

This is my 300th post too so woo hoo

Congratulations on getting accepted, don't worry about the effect going wrong it happens to all of us. Give yourself a big pat on the back for getting out there and doing. :)
