Two questions

Postby Johnny Wizz » Jan 12th, '17, 13:55

These are two separate questions.

Firstly and simply what do people recommend as a good impression pad without paying silly money.

Secondly, having just read a contribution about marked cards on here I have come across MindFX. I have been off the scene for a while and so haven't heard anything about them. What do people think of their products?

John Riggs' boards are still probably the best that I've seen out there but they're pricey (even more so now, with the current exchange rate) and have to be bought directly from him. http://www.jonsaintgermain.com/books.htm You'll want to get in quick if you want on though, it sounds like he might be winding down that side of his business :(. Eddie Burke's got a nice, cheap and simple idea, http://www.mreenterprises.co.uk/viewproduct.php?id=2006.

Depending exactly on what you're planning on doing, the idea I published in Murder in Mind might be useful to you, I also might have put something out in Mind Fluff too but I can't remember. I know I was playing around with a lot of different ideas for boards at the time but can't remember if and what I published, I know that I wrote up something but I can't remember if it's in Mind Fluff or its unfinished follow up. I'll have to dig them out and if there's anything in there you're more than welcome to it.

I've recently come across MindFX also

I bought Michael's book 'A Piece of my Mind', he is very pleasant and i have had no issues

Every purchase from there has gone through with ease and delivered really quickly

I invented my own impression pad. Which is cheap and easy to make and easy to use.
Plus you can replace it really easily.

However, someone has since told me it is identical to The Tommy Pad. I don't own The Tommy Pad, but maybe its worth you getting hold of that.

I think its worth trying to find a pad you can either make yourself, or can find your own refills for. You don't want to keep buying pads or refills every time you get low on pages.

I've used MindFX quite a bit. Michael Murray is a decent guy. I've never had any problems with him. In fact, once a printed product was delayed at the printer, so he gave everyone who had preordered a PDF copy free of charge to say sorry for the small delay. He really seems to care about his customers experience.
Most (if not all) of the products I've bought from him I've really enjoyed.

Apparently his coin effect is really good. I'm feeling quite tempted...
