Bare - Darryl Davis, Daryl Williams and The Other Brothers

The Effect

Imagine being able to cause any prediction to appear on a spectator's hand.
They hold their hand out and you sprinkle salt, pepper, ash, coffee, dirt, etc on their hand.
You blow away the excess and left printed on their hand is the prediction.

Cost

Cheapest UK supplier I found was £31.25:
https://www.vanishingincmagic.co.uk/mag ... agic/bare/

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I'll give this a 2.
It's not at all difficult, you just need a bit of audience management and depending on what you want to appear on your spec's hand, you might need to know how to f***e a card.

Review

I've been thinking about getting this for quite a while now. I've read a number of reviews on other sites and all have been good. Mine arrived a few days ago and I've only just opened it.
When you order this from the above link, you're given access to the tutorial video (which you can download if you wish), so you can start learning the secret straight way ..... you've just got to wait for your special item to arrive :)
I know we don't expose secrets here, but the fact that it's a specially gimmicked sharpie pen that does the dirty work, is clearly mentioned on the above link, so I feel it's okay to say it here. You secretly write the prediction on your hand, then "stamp" the spectator's hand and then cause it to appear by sprinkling salt, pepper, etc, on their hand. It's quite similar to the ashes on arm trick.
When I opened mine, I practised writing on one hand and stamping the other and seeing where I needed to write and what worked best. Salt worked fine for me. It literally took me less than 15 minutes to get the hang of it.
I showed this to my missus, a.k.a. "my guinea pig" and she was speechless and I know if she's baffled, t's a winner.
I'm going to my dad's birthday bash tomorrow, so this is going to get a lot of road testing :)

Overall

I'll give this 8/10.
I'd like to give it 9/10, but it loses a point as I wasn't overly impressed with the video.
I'm probably just being too fussy, but the video, in my opinion, didn't seem very professional.
Don't get me wrong, the explanations and routines were great, it's just that 2 guys sat on a sofa explaining a magic trick, didn't really do it for me.

Overall - go out and get it ..... this will fry your spectators :)

If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Thanks Moonbeam :D. A couple of questions that I've got, how far in advance can you get aways with doing the prep work and how detailed can you make the image? I've got a little idea for a presentation for this but I'm not sure if it'll be feasible.

Just a quick update.
I performed this twice last night, in my local.
The piccie is what the young lady took and posted on Facebook - she was blown away :)
Anyway, the main reason for posting, is I wanted to show the clarity of the writing on the spec's hand.
You pour "magic dust" (salt) over the spec's bare hand and the image just magically appears ....... EVERY reaction I've had whilst performing this has been great.
This comes out with me all the time now - hardly any pocket space - a sharpie and a small plastic container to hold my "magic dust" (I use a sweetex container).
The routine I use:
Spec "chooses" a card and returns it to the deck (4 of diamonds for example)
I then ask them to name a completely random card (jack of spades for example) and from their completely free choice, I tell them what card they picked from the deck. This alone blows them way, but when I ask them to hold their hand out and pour the "magic dust" over to reveal their completely free choice .... jaws drop to the floor. The piccie shows the initials JS where she chose the jack of spades. I went back about 10 minutes later and she was still looking at her hand, wondering what the hell had just happened !!!!
