Postby U THINK I KNOW » Wed Apr 25, 2018 7:23 pm

So I found a target that I think would be a great to work for and I want to send them a email. Now the big question WHAT SHOULD I PUT INTO THAT FIRST EMAIL?? WHAT SHOULD I WRITE??

I have a promo clip.

Emails are iffy. You will probably never get a reply. That is even if they open the damn thing and read it in the first place which they probably won't. If this is someone you really want to work for do things the old fashioned way. Send a real letter in a real envelope. And put the contact name on the envelope especially if it is a big company otherwise it will get lost in the shuffle. Don't just send it to a title or even worse the company name and nothing else. Oh, and HANDWRITE the name and address on the envelope. That way they are sure to read it and it will get past the gatekeeper (personal assistant or secretary) if there is one.

If you get a reasonably positive reply speak to them on the phone and THEN offer to send your promo video by email.
