Giobbi's Card College 1 & 2 - What tricks are best?

Postby EndersGame » May 9th, '19, 11:56

What are your favourite card tricks taught by Roberto Giobbi in his books Card College 1 & 2?

Let's not include tricks from Giobbi's next three books, Card College 3, 4 & 5, because that covers more advanced material. Card College 1 & 2 is more suited for beginner to intermediate level, and also has a companion video course (available for digital download here and reviewed here). So for this thread let's restrict ourselves to the material from the Card College 1 & 2 books.

Which tricks do you think are the best from these two books, and what ones do you perform?

This is off the top of my head, so I may be wrong that they appear in 1 & 2:

The Invisible Card: Great 3-phase routine with a nice kicker.
Time Machine: Quick and visual 2 card transposition that does not require a working surface
Royal Flush Surprise: Elegant way of revealing 4 Aces, followed by a Royal Flush. Makes a great intro to more gambling-orientated effects.

These three appear regularly in my act, the rest of the stuff I do is from various Ortiz books.

Weird about Invisible card being in Vol. III, there's nothing hard about it: Injog shuffle control, riffle-force, Biddle steal, 5-as-4 count and that's it.

P.S. In case you're not aware, I'm also AdrianPHague on BGG :)
