If youre a close up magician like me this is a must have. There are SO MANY variations which can be achieved. This is a brilliant trick which enables consecutive tricks from the same pack, without suspiciously changing cards. You can make up your own tricks and once you know the secret you will fool anybody.

Personally i find this a trick which must stay in your back pocket.

I don't mean to criticise, but there are a couple of other threads on the subject of the ID, it would make the board tidier and easier to navigate if you look for other threads on a subject before you add one yourself.

Quite right, though.

In reference to the ID, I'm unsure whether you're talking about the actual deck we know and love as an 'ID'.

It certainly isn't something a deck from which consecutive 'tricks' can be achieved...

Perhaps an elaboration?

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I just had to chime in, I love the Invisible-Deck It's a real mystifier. I performed the trick on my toughest critic, my wife. It was the first time she said "wow!" in response to one of my performances. She's still bugging me to tell her how I did it. Sorry dear, I took an oath.

The basic performance is you shuffle an imaginary "invisible" deck of cards, then have the person you perform for cut or shuffle the imaginary deck. Ask them to pick out a card and tell everyone what it is. Then you take the "card" and turn it upside down before returning it to the deck. Slip the ID in your pocket, say the magic words, and pull out a real deck (which was hiding there all along of course). Fan it out. Every card is face up but one. Spectator pulls out that card, and lo and behold, it's the one they selected from the ID.

I won't reveal the secret here, but it's very easy to perform and works every time. If you can subtract from 13, you can do this trick.

I'd love to hear from others any variations in performing this great trick.

Why is it that in order to try and gain access to the secrets area we get countless newbie style tricks reviewed? TT's, ID's and such like as a review? I mean come on... Where do you n00bs think we all began? Do people honestly think these effects are new and worthy of reviewing AGAIN on a well established forum for experienced magicians.... Geeeeeze

I've been on the forum for a few years now, only post helpful stuff and perform 'professionally' more than many others on the forum & I've never been granted access

The template for reviews suggests posting how much the reviewed item costs and where it's sold for that amount, which is why I added that info.
Believe me, we don't get rich off Invisible Decks.
I just think it's a great trick and wanted to say so.

I love my ID but after performing it so many times it's starting to slide. Looks like its time for a new one or a load of roughing spray.

There is a way to do this trick without having to do the subtracting from 13 thingy.

Just pair up the cards, spade/hearts on one side clubs/diamonds on the other.

I've known about this trick for decades, never got one, then one day I decided to get the jumbo deck version, I like this trick but not as much as a Svengali Deck.
