The move is very very VERRRRYYY difficult. I don't want to say impossible, its just that i haven't mastered it YET.

Someone once told me a website with tips on how to learn this and loads of other really hard moves.

Does anyone remember the website?
Does anyone have any tips for this move?
Can anyone else do it?
Who's even attempted it?

Thanks, for your Help,
Ed.

I've never heard of a website which will give you tips for this but Ian Kendall has a CD out called B@stard Hard Moves which teaches this and many other difficult moves. I highly recommend it, it is a fantastic CD with loads of valuable information on it. Great value for money to.

Hmm. An interesting site.

In my defense, I have permission from Lennart Green and Paul Harris to teach Top Shot and Instant Replay, and I go into a _lot_ more detail.

Take care, Ian

Yep this move is bloody dificult!!!

i have nowhere near mastered it but have a prety good grip on it....ahem no pun intended....

I learnt directly of the leannart green vido and couldnt doit....

after hours and days of experimenting with different grips and what i was comfortable with i began flicking single cards into my right hand Very Happy ..(instead of bringing off 10 at a time and ropping them!!!)

My advice jing would be just to experiment...once you shoot that first card of at a pretty good speed youll be sooooooooooooo happy!! Very Happy

My only problem is is catching the damn things!!!

Ian.. i like yr trailer...some pretty slick moves there Cool

Well, after re-experimenting with this i think i have a rough guide of how to do the top shot after hours of breaking down the moves.

Here goes...

first of all the grip..

Hold the cards at the end of the deck away from you between the thumb and forefinger, the reverse knuckle of your forefinger should be pressing on the other side of the deck, sort of arching the cards, with a tight grip between the thumb and forefinger which should make the part ofthe deck towards you ramp up.

now bring your little finger in to the bottom left corner of the deck and pull to the right and down at thesame time arching the cards to build tension in the deck.
The bend in the deck when you do this should run from the thumb grip corner and the corner with your little finger is on.

Now quickly pull the top card to the right and down at the same time off the top of the deck making sure your index finger and ring finger dont get in the way of the card being flicked off...
Thisis a tricky one because the pinkey flick canot be sone slowely or else the cards just fall of!!!

I'll try and do a vid soon when i have some propper time to myself..

Andy

Hi,
I've also been struggling with this move. Do you use only the pinkie, or both the pinkie and ring fingers? With pinkie only, I have to move the other two fingers (middle and ring) to the bottom of the deck...they really get in the way. When I use both pinkie and ring it's more comfotable, but I don't get much spin on the card...sometimes it kind of flies and sometimes it just flops down.

Thanks.

I don't think the top shot is so hard to do. It's just about experimenting, try and try and try and suddenly you will get it right. I myself only use my pinkie and the flick the ring and second finger outwards to make clear for the card to go away. It's not a hard move but it's hard to get it 100% right every time. Can anybody of you do Greens Snap Deal good? I'm struggling with it right now. The hard thing is the angles...

I had a go at this, but not for very long admittedly. I just couldn't get my fingers to stretch around the deck sufficiently and gave up. I also noticed that Lennart was using a bridge-sized and deck and thought 'Aha! So it's impossible with pokers then!'.
I've since found out that people really do it with poker-sized cards but it will always be a mystery to me, I think.

I don't think Lennart uses bridge size cards - I think your mistaking them for the Spanish Fournier brand which are poker size.

When I discussed the move with Lennart (prior to getting permission to teach it) we were both using the same deck of Poker Bikes.

As far as I know Lennart's Green magic DVD and BHMME are the only 'authorised' places it has been taught.

Take care, Ian

Lennart says in his movie that its possible to shoot the second card and that he will explain it later when he has trained more. He also says that its possible to shoot it spinning anti clockwise. Has anyone managed to do that?
