I am a Church of England priest, and so I do a lot of work in preaching and in school assemblies. I'm always on the look out for effects which lend themselves naturally to making a good point (other than 'never play 3-card monte for money...)

My favourite so far is using the 'equalising' three ropes to illustrate a balanced Christian faith in Father, Son and Holy Spirit (if you're interested, email me on watson@fish.co.uk ) but I'd welcome any other ideas!

I don't use magic in relation to miracle stories - just to make broader points.
