Revolution Coin Vanish

Postby Dominick » Apr 7th, '06, 17:20

I couldn't find any review using the serach funtion, which is hard to believe. But if there is one, please feel free to tell me.
Can Be found at:

The Effect
Revolution Coin Vanish:
A coin vanish that has "revolutionized" magic. Can be done with short sleeves, long sleeves, or with no shirt if you wanted. When you are done with the vanish your hands are truly empty. There are no gimmicks and the coin can be borrowed. The trick is almost completely impromtu. There is a quick set-up. But almost everyone, even non-magic types, have this at their homes and most likely leave the house with it.

Cost
Download: 16.95
DVD: 18.95

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I though this trick was extremely easy. No hard sleights and very well taught by Brad Christian. Probably a 1-2.

Review
I downloaded this video last night and already, I'm doing the vanish I see in the demo. It is a 30 minute training video that covers just about everything about the vanish. Brad teaches this vanish very nicely. This vanish is extremely simple. Although the handling is a little..."sketchy", you can make this more casual by practicing and making a different variation.

Overall
Overall, I thought that this was a bargain. I like to buy impromtu/almost impromtu tricks like this because I can do them for the rest of my life. Revolution is clean, fun, and oh-so-easy. I think it is a little overpriced for what your getting, but still. I enjoyed the video. Brad had some funny moments...You'll understand if you buy it. So out of ten I would give this trick about an 8.

Again, if there is another thread on this, which I'm sure there is, but I couldn't find it, please tell me.

Thanks,
Dominick

as brilliant a vanish as it is i can't see how they can justify charging that amount of money for it.
i suppose it's the un-neccessarily long explanation videos. but still...

good work though!

Yeah I notice that about some ellusionist videos. They beat arund the bush too much instead of going straight forward. So far the only video that went right to the point was Infusion, which I thought was brilliant.

the shapeshifter one was the worst!
over half an hour for something that takes 30seconds to teach!!

Yeah, I bought that...I'm really impressed with the trick, but they use so much filler. That video could have been like 10 minutes long if they tried.

Dom, if this is the effect where Mr Christian says the word Cargo. {cryptic I hope} I saw it at a fellow magic man's house and it was topper. I love off the cuff stuff.
ps pants. x

It looks fantastic and it's so easy to learn. After watching the video I was like, "Why didn't I think of that?!"

I also thought the effect was a little on the pricey side. Just like everything else on the ellusionist website.

i must say i understood right away how it was done when watching the preview.
by looking a few times at it, i figured out how to do it.

i think this is a nice trick, but shouldn't be sold on its own. it would fit in a dvd
with lots of vanishes.
of course, that way you don't earn enough money...

i did figure it out by watching. as this isn't the raven, the coin has to go somewhere.
don't regret buying the dvd though, it will sure teach you the good moves.
