USPCC is releasing limited edition sets of vintage bicycle playing card back designs.

The Safety Back is already out in stores, with the Racer back coming this fall. They have a TON of old designs - so this could be the beginning of really cool (and in my case, really expensive) "new" cards coming out.

Here's a link to the USPCC catalog - the two designs mentioned above are on page 3

http://www.usplayingcard.com/pdf/uspc_catalog_core_2006.pdf

It should also be noted that Hoyle has gotten into the "stylish" playing card game. I've seen three different designs already. However, only one of them uses the Hoyle Shellback design (this particular deck is orange with neon green pips and graphics.

I picked up a deck of each. I don't have any links to them, so I'll try to post some pics so people can check them out.

Cool! Im going to have to get me at least 3 of each of those!!

Has anyone seen Criss Angels yellow dec? The one with the eyes? They look cool. I haven't got any but was wandering if anyone has and can say if they're any good etc.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Cards look wicked, do I feel a relaps of C.U.P.S coming on?

Stevebo - any chance the auction info is still online? I'd just like to get a look at the other card back styles.

Congrats on the purchase!

Fear not, these will be arriving at NUMS very soon indeed... been on order for 2 weeks...

Personally, I can't WAIT to see them... (actually, I HAVE seen them, just need to get my paws on them now!)

Namely, each special collectors set will include 6 decks, 2 of each of the following (a red of each, and a blue back of each)...

The Thristle Deck (1891-1934) - this deck has elves on it that were taken from the consolidated company that merged with the US playing card company. The

Cupid Back Deck (1895-1943) - the cupid back deck at the time was hand engraved by individual designers and as a result the card was produced with lattice work betwwen the wheel.

The Tangent Back Deck (1907-1939) - this design was the first design to use the 4 winged version of the American Wheelman Emblem in the center of the card.

Collector's Set includes 3 Vintage Card backs in both red and blue (6 decks total) and 338 page book containing rules for more than 250 card games.

If you can wait, the price will be around £18 for all six decks.

The Safety Backs will also be in stock and on the site: that's all four vintage decks.

I bought a deck of the Vintage Safety Backs the other day from IM. I think they handle great, and I love the AoS design.

I also got a card with a Sudoku puzzle on it, and another card saying that Bicycle are releasing a Sudoku deck, with a different puzzle on each card. They are pencil friendly too.

Has anyone seen these? Siege... will you be stocking them on NUMS? There might be some interesting tricks to dream up with a deck like that.

Cheers,

I got these for my mum on Christmas and she loves it! :D (I hope...)

And Demitri... I believe that it is still up on eBay. Here's the link to the page... this user seems great selling cheap and rare cards! :D
