The search engine is pretty effective here on Talk Magic but it would be nice if we could have one extra option added to where a search string could be applied to only the topic title - as this would facilitate in finding a specific product review or a particular topic that only deals with the item in question. This would also save the moderators/administrators from the painstaking task of having to constantly index and update a thread containing product reviews (even though that is a very useful thread as well).

I think tht would be a great idea as i have tried searching for topics in the past but then have just given up as the search didn't find it.

I've done searches before and sometimes the search result has thrown literally hundreds of results back at me - most of them completely irrelevant to what I was looking for, just because someone mentioned it at least once in a particular thread, it's thrown in with the results.
It would be nice to do a search and just search the title so it eliminates the hundreds or so of unnecessary results

Isn't this is one for the phpBB guys who wrote the software? Sounds like a functionality thing to me.

a thing that i have found helps, is check the box that says 'search for all words' as opposed to 'search for any'

although, yes, it would be nice to have a search for title only
