Yes, I've heard good things of this too. It's only the price that puts me off.

(Knowing me I'd forget to take it off in the shower and wreck it!)

I bought the earlier gold/leather version and it works a treat - depending on the time selected, you need to be able to fill in with plenty of patter. The 'reset' time can be a bit long winded though.

Just bought one.

Are they actually waterproof? It does say 10metres on back and 30 metres on the front...

I realised.

Thanks, I've been a long time reader, first time poster. Although I am active on the GMG podcast forums.

Thanks for the welcome.

Man the strap on this thing is huge! Do you guys get jewellers to deal with that? Ive moved that catch thing's link over to the end for now, what did you guys do? And about it being waterproof?

I take it you've got the same 1 as me - there are a few versions about I think. Mine also says 30m on the front and 10m on the back.
The strap on mine looks ok in my opinion so I can't really offer any advice on that soz
As for wanting to do it underwater (I know the guy who posted this question prolly won't read this) - all I gotta say is - Why ??

Yep, same as you. Do you think its waterproof? So your strap fits perfectly?

I've had this watch ages now so I can't remember if I adjusted the strap when I first got it - but it still has the original strap and it fits ok on me.
I reckon it will be waterproof - if it's not and it gets damaged, I reckon you'd be able to get a replacement - after all it says it's waterproof on the watch.
Good luck if you decide to test whether it's waterproof or not

I have the leather strapped version of this time piece.

Its a great piece of kit and have been baffling people for the last 3 days with it. great fun.

Recommendation 10/10.

I don't like it for such things but you can now buy them from ebay for 30 quid :( . Seems to me to put such a fine trick in the hands of commonors at such a price is erroneous (heck, magical snobbery is creaping in)

I got mine from dudethatswhaticallcoolmagic as advertised on this fine forum.

Operation is simple, and works a treat.
