Thanks to everyone and as to "where to find my stuff?" there is only one source presently -- Loren Tindall's http://www.mevproshop.com/index.html

When this issue was brought to my attention I was floored to find out that this particular share group had manuscripts that less than 30 copies were ever sold before I closed down things over my health, etc. The Pendulum Pitchbook was pulled from the market with less than 18 of them in circulation... I lost thousands of dollars on that because of a fickle old man that seemingly loves to scam magicians... (a much different tale than what I'm dealing with today).

I've put this notice up in hopes of getting word out and possibly evoking a bit of actual guilt in people that are doing this stuff, helping them see that they are stealing from people, many of whom are in worse condition than I. The results are very simple; the compilation of the Psychic Technologies marketing program will still go out but it's going to be rought $65.00 more expensive all the way around, because I now have to print it, bind it my self and encode it in order to protect it (and yes, I have found a means by which to keep people from scanning or photo copying it as well.... if you do so it will suddenly have a large grey message printed across the face of each page stating THIS IS AN ILLEGAL COPY... 8) I love having cunning friends in high security businesses  )

Word has to get out so PLEASE make this an issue at your club meetings, bring it up at other forums, and if you know people dealing in hot manuscripts, tapes, etc. warn them first and if they don't stop EXPOSE THEM!

EXPOSURE IS GOOD in this case.

Thanks again!

Firstly my cousin has had MS since he was 16, so my heart goes out to you on this point. I know you probably don't want sympathy on this aspect of your thread, but I give it anyway from personal experiance.

Secondly can you possibly offer your material to some of the other online magic shops? Ellusionist or Nums for example, the more places it is for sale the more chances you might benifit from actual legal purchases? it is a percentage game I know, the more copies available the more pirate copies available! but if you could flood the market that royalty cheque might go up from $100 to $300 - $500, just a thought.

Also how about getting some hard copies made and shipped to bricks and morter shops?

Best wishes and keep fighting mate.

The original idea was to do a limited market release of an eBook on about a dozen tomes I've been working on for several years now... believe it or not, not all of it is Mentalism or Bizarre... there's a few on Illusion work, in that this was my prime field of work for over 20 years.

Once the limited marketing was done we were going to take the same books, make some minor changes and additions to them and release them in hardbound form or paper back via a primary magic publisher like Hades, Hermetic Press or some such source. The objective was to give those that purchased teh eBook a good two to three year head start on using the material before it was set out on a more broad industry release.

I do have some minor pieces that may be going to lybray.com in the near future however; basic routines that I just want to put out for the sake of fun more than anything.

What gets to me is the fact that people steal from those that are known to give freely.

I can't tell you how many of my friends (we're talking about major personalities in this industry) that chew me out regularly (and have for nearly 20 years now) for giving so much away and not asking for compensation of any kind or even insisting that people spell my name right on the show credits. Yet, with this little discovery I'm being told in even more direct terms to "lay low, go into seclusion and make the "Mother F#&*rs pay for it!"" (as in, you must pay big dollars for the books and effects, my time, etc.) These are the exact words offered me by two very dear friends that honestly do give a damn about me... but then, they've been on my case for giving away so much information in these forums all these years... like I've said elsewhere, I'm not a great businessman :?

Anyhow, thanks to all for their kind words of support. I do hope we can nip these things in the bud before it completely destroys magic.
