Hi
Much have requested a review of Canz from kevin parker (
http://www.kevinparkerproductions.com) ans so here it is:
Effect:
A normal can of coke is visually multiplied by three right in front of the spectators. There is no cover or nothing to hide the cans.
Difficulty:
3 on 5, watch for the angles!!!
What they say:
Kevin Parker here. A visual manifestation of food or drink will hail you as a god in some cultures. You've probably heard a story of a man multiplying fishes and bread. Through a desire to see something like this become a physical reality, I have laboured out a way to achieve this and today I bring you Canz. Upon learning the method, you will be able to multiply a real canned drink into three real, unopenned canned drinks, full of liquid,
then offer your onlookers one to keep.
What I say:
Wow
Kevin Parker maintain his title for "The most visual effects produced" once again. I know that I repeat myself trough the reviews from Kevin Parker's products but, once again, this is so visual! The demo you see is what you get. Of course, after some practise (I might risk myself and say that you should be ok after maybe two solid hours in front of a mirror), the effect is astonishing (sp!?). The three cans are full of real coke, can be given afterwards (just a bit of sleight for one... can't say much about it). You can almost immediatly start to practise once you've watched the video, the material required can be found anywhere
!
The video quality is, once again, arguable. Thus, I might say that it became a trademark for Kevin Parker to look "disturbed" by the cameraman at the beggining ("Oh! you mean now? But I'm not ready yet I've just staOH welcome the Canz instructionnal video!).
Great trick if you want to impress your friends and relative on the street, not recommended for large audience because the angles are the biggest flaws of this effect. Have fun pretending you're Jesus!
Pros:
Extremely visual!
Not much material required
High impact effect
Relatively cheap for that kind of effect
Cons:
Need much practice
Watch the angles damn it!
People might start giving you random coke cans to multiply..
Overall:
8/10
