Oh goodness i agree! i have to ay i think the creatures in last nights episode were the most visually effective yet, so much so that when i went to sleep they were in my dreams.
I adore the emotional side with riversong, breaks my heart just thinking about it.
two thumbs up! :)

Just rewatched the River Song death scene on YouTube and, knowing what we know now, it's incredible stuff

Did anyone see the Lis Sladen 15 minute tribute afterwards? Very moving and it just shows the sheer power of the whole Who/Sarah Jane/Torchwood works, back in the day as well as the recent revival. Again, I don't feel too angry about buying a TV licence :D .

Let's not do the Licence fee thing again! I had the misfortune of 'watching' BBC America when I was working in Seattle this year... trust me, you do not want to watch Dr Who with commercials!!!

And what a brilliant start to the new series - Off to the Dr Who exhibition next week... it's a bit of a mania in our house at the moment!

A good start and lots of strange stories going about concerning this series.

What an ending!

And did anybody else think the cuckoo guy looked identical to Gregory Wilson? ;)

No, I thought, "It's Kerry Shale!" (Among other things, the voice of the titular character in the english version of Doctor Zitbag's Transylvania Pet Shop.)

Enjoyed the "pirate" episode. Most amusing to see one of the characters being shown as a bit of a rogue and swordsman.

I didn't like that episode much. It wasn't bad as such...it just felt a bit like a waste?

Next week's looks good though - doctors wife aye!

I think the episode will be more important than it seems at first. Definitely a couple of clues in there to big stuff later on. Water? Mirrors? SPOILERS!

Does anyone else think the pirate captain will end up accidentally steering the ship into a star at the end?

*spoilers*

I have a feeling that the events of The Big Bang 2 have caused two time lines and realities to start bleeding into each other.

Also I don't think The Silence are totally gone for good. I mean you don't introduce a new menace like that and then just get rid of them two episodes later. Specially with the voice that caused The TARDIS to explode when it said " A SILENCE WILL FALL!"
*end spoilers*
