DVDs on a nightshift

I'm not the best at this modern technology stuff...

What's the best way to put a DVD on to my tablet so I can watch it at work?

My laptop runs windows 8, and my tablet is an android nexus... I'm assuming I'll need to download something on to my laptop, but I've no idea what to use!

(I'm asking as its a quiet nightshift here, and I've just got 4 Bill Malone DVDs sat at home to watch!)

Cheers,

Chris

Hi

I would recommend airdroid as the app on your tablet. Been a while since I've used but when you open it up on your tablet you will get a ip number, copy it to a browser on your pc and you should be able to add files and remove files, just drag and drop.

You will however need to convert your vids to mp3. I would recommend handbreak DVD rip (it's free) never used it on Windows so open to other suggestions.

Cheers
Rob

handbrake works fine on windows, bit fiddly at the start but fine.

Suspect you mean MPEG4, sometimes referred to by its file extension of "mp4". Or possibly MPEG2. MP3 is an audio format, not a video format!

Whichever way you load vids on to a Nexus you'll be using up a lot of memory space.

I have a Nexus 7 but the older one which has more memory than the newer ones. It all depends on what sort of money you want to spend but my Nexus does all that I want as long as I delete files when I'm done with them.

You can save your videos up to OneDrive and play them through the browser. That works nicely with my tablet and my phone.
