Anyone got this plzzz ???

It appears just too good to be true:

Uses normal paperclips and doesn't use threads or magnets.

It's certainly got me stumped, but it's getting raving reviews ..... I'm def tempted :)

There's a long topic on the green place, seems the paperclips supplied may be difficult to get hold of... I held off on the pre order and I'm still inclined to hold off until someone not linked to penguin posts a review.

It's on its way to me; posted from US last Friday as I did a 'pre-order'. I can't review it properly yet but I can make some informed comments.

Because I placed an order; I've been given a download link which partly explains the routine but mainly comments on the kind of paperclip you need. This stuff should, in my opinion, have been part of the original package and I sense that this didn't happen because of the eagerness to rush the product to market.

I'm having some trouble sourcing the paperclips in the UK but I'll probably wait until I get my package (and seeing the paperclips needed) before I try in earnest. I might buy in bulk from US or, knowing me, possibly just sell the whole thing to someone with a bit more determination. Happy to consider sensible offers!

Yeah - I bought some similar paper clips to learn with as you don't get many with the DVD. Penguin have started selling the clips themselves at something like $3 for 75. The effect is the effect, of course, so I'm happy either way, and from what I understand of the method, it is pretty solid. I just hope that the clips end up cheaply on offer in the UK sometime soon.

Thanks for the replies peeps.
To be honest, I didn't know there were different kinds of paper clips .... I thought they were all the same, apart from different sizes and thickness, etc.
Still tempted .......

I've ordered a large batch of paperclips from us to reduce impact of postage. I'll probably put some batches up for sale to uk people so you get them cheaper than you otherwise would. Mind you it'll depend on how fast I use them.

According to the blurb, the paperclips are ordinary. Taken from a promotional email received today (I've added the bold emphasis):
Animate an ordinary paper clip with absolutely NO SLEIGHT OF HAND. You can even perform this miracle completely HANDS OFF!

Are they being a little less than careful with the truth?

Ha ha, slightly. Not an 'ordinary' paperclip implying that any clip will be OK (see my post before yours). 'Hands Off' is true enough. (I've still got 3 packets of clips if anyone wants them). The clips are quite resilient; I seem to have been using same one for quite a while.

So it's a bit like certain routines where items are marked with a Sharpie - but not just any old bog standard Sharpie picked up at random, it has to be of a particular type!

Even though the paperclip has to be the right type, it's still an intriguing effect and I may yet succumb to temptation...

Did we ever get a proper Review here?
