Which books on Mentalism would you all reccomend as either staggering effects, clearly written, or just all around good book? Thanks for the help!!

I would highly suggest that you just forget about other mentalism book's for a month while you read "13 steps to mentalism" By Corinda.

Then promptly pick up "Psychological Subtleties" By Banachek

From there you will have a good idea of whats what and whos who.

Ok.. where is your knowledge and experience level when it comes to Mentalism? If you're a novice then there are many books you need to actually stay away from for a while until you get familiar with the basics of the game i.e. Corinda & Annemann... I'd even go so far as to suggest Osterlind's Easy to Master Mental Miracles video to augment this course of study along with Banachek's Psychological Forces and most important of all... EVERYTHING EVER RELEASED BY RICHARD WEBSTER, RON MARTIN AND BOB CASSIDY...

To simplify that list however, start with;

Cassidy's Principalia & Element Series -- I'd suggest you get your hands on the DVD that has this entire collection and then some. It's worth ten times the asking price for the philosophical perspectives alone... and it's packed with some EXCELLENT effects. {LEARN THE WEB!}

There is a "Sticky" post here in the new MENTALISM section listing some other books that I would recommend you look into... all in all, you'll have your work cut out for you over the next couple of years just getting the basic tennets in these tomes down in your mind... that's sufficient for starters

Bob Cassidy is a very good teacher, I have several of his books including 39 steps to mentalism and several others. I will write a review on these shortly.

Do you really not reccomend 13 steps for begginers? Everyone else seems to, and i was considering purchasing it

Ahh... "Corinda" = 13 Steps

I read Craig's post that the other way round - ie. Corinda IS the basics.

Certainly would be unusual for him not recommend it as a great beginner book - everyone else does.
