Right... I thought it was on the 'invitation-only' basis of the other forums.

Or is that fora?

Or fori?

Anyway, can I come in please? I've had the book for months and months!

:)

Pete

Once again, I just cannot help but rave about this book. I have had it for over a year, and in my opinion, it is in my top 3 purchased magical items.

The fact is, I perform this stuff very regularly, and has even got a bloke from the BBC interested in me! I'm loving it all!

From having it and working it a fair while, I've been able to get better results, and I'm still loving the colour!

Something I have found to save my ass on more than one occasion, is to do the following:

"Right...I saw some red..."

if they did indeed stop on red they react, if not you can continue on to the next step as described.

I've also had it where they interupt before I could continue and they say "no I didn;t". I then come out with "you did, before you changed your mind. I know I saw a flash of red before you moved onto...."

e.t.c e.t.c

Every time...it makes it almost foolproof! It took a while to figure out, and took a long time of me looking the fool when i said "red onto blue e.t.c" when they just stopped on red! But hell, I'm confident enough to use it in sets now!

Along with Psychokinetic Touches, this book is possibly the most valuble thing I own and use. The fact is, both of these effects can be performed naked. Due to my putting myself into it, I genuinely love to perform it, which isn;t always the same with other effects.

Jon, I just want to thank you again, and cannot await NMII...which should be in the post!

Can I help read NMIII(;))? I'm looking forward already!

and if NMII is pure priming? Well I can see this being even better than the first book (for me personally)

I've not yet tried any of the stuff from the book so you may wish to just ignore me, however I have read it and here is my initial opinion. I thought the first part was brilliant and the last part was good also. The naked book test on the otehr hand, I am kind of unsure about to be honest. Having read the process and the amount of really quite important informaiton that you require from them before you can tell them the word, the revelation doesn't seem particularly amazing to me. Now I've not performed it so maybe spectators are indeed amazed by it but I can't help but feel it's maybe rather obvious what's going on. I will of course go on to try it all out and will, no doubt, be proved wrong but at the moment I'm not particularly excited about it.

I really like the 'naked' philosophy. The idea of honestly trying to emulate a psychic but with much higher success is very appealing. You don't have to have anywhere to hide because you don't need to be perfect. It's for this reason that I like the book.

NMII isn't as good as the first one I believe, as most of the main primes are re-prints from the last book. Wasn't happy to spend over £30 on that one.

But then again, I have only read it once!

Ok I've tried the naked book test several times today now and it was very disappointing. I only once got a hit. The other times I didn't even have a near hit, even though I followed the little tricks to widen my probability of a near hit. I will continue to test it but so far I can't see how it's that much better than guessing. I can see that it should be but in my experience so far it's not working.

The naked book test is one of those effects that you really do have to put the time and effort in to. It's not at all easy to perform, it all relies on your presentation of the effect. If you can get this right then you've got a very good effect. But also remember that it's an effect that's not going to hit 100% of the time.

When you put time and effort in, the Naked Booktest is excellent.

We just had an amazing time with it at a pub gig.

Excellent Stuff. :D

I don't think I would call the naked book test an 'effect' as such but then I don't think it is supposed to be. Since the desired effect is to be slightly more successful than someone who claims to be a psychic/guesses, then they surely needs some kind of comparison to a 'real psychic' at some point. Some people think 'psychics' like Colin Fry are completely genuine and if that is their perception of a psychic then the effect has failed, since Colin Fry appears much better than the results you can get with the Naked method. On the other hand someone might have no idea what 'psychics' are like in which case the effect of being better than a psychic is lost on them.

I am obviously aware that the naked book test takes some time to hone but if the word they pick isn't one you like then it simply won't work and that is far more likely to happen than how it's made out in the book.

oh well, there's always the other, far superior book test that's in that book  :D

I gave into temptation to the I & II book offer, so I got both of them two weeks ago, but I'm currently reading Max Maven's PRISM. Tomo is right there in line. I took a quick glance and it looks promising.
Jolly good show Tomo!

Just thought I'd pop by again and say that I've been trying the naked book test out and I've been getting some great results. The reaction is usually one of surprise but then it surprises me too! It's quite a nice feeling to succeed with it I must say...

I've only been concentrating on the book test for the moment but I'm going to have another read and test some other things out...

Wait a minute, Sept 11 you thought it was no better than guessing, and couldnt see how it would work if a certain type of word was picked, and 3 DAYS later you are getting great results?

OK whats the story.
