Just got the trilby connection dvds by anthony and it is brilliant !

I've got RIP, the manchurian approach and now this and for me this is the best one !

It shows Anthony teaching a complete beginner so you basically get to sit in on a 1 to 1 lesson with him and see what the beginner did wrong and so on.

Special features are more street performances and out takes where you get to see what a cool bloke Anthony is !

With all 3 of Anthonys products im going to be as prepared as you can be to be the hypnotist........SLEEP :)

Is that the £82 box? Or is there a cheaper one-disc option available?

Hehe - I wrote this review before I even started Uni...

I have now graduated Uni, and it is still top of the page!

Signs of a well-written review I guess...nothing about the product itself ;)

I ordered The trilby connection from Headhacking last Monday afternoon and it arrived Tuesday morning. :D I've only watched the first disc so far and it really is superb. It's given me more confidence to get out there and try it on complete strangers. :D

I think I'm going to enrol on the course in May in London next year. In fact I'll start a new thread.

Would love the real-world experience but with the tutelage of Ant.

So would I, but I can't afford £80 for the dvd's at the moment nevermind the £575 for the two day course. If the T Shirt empire takes off in the next couple of months, however, I will see you there.

Just thought I'd bump this back up to the top where it rightly belongs. Would be interesting to hear from any of the people who recently bought RiP about their hypno exploits. Tell all dudes!

First off, Anthony... tip o' the hat to ya for a great, straight-to-the-point book. I purchased the book two years ago, but have never got up the nerve to try it out on anyone. It's not really a confidence thing - as I've read the book several times and have watched many videos - and I'm pretty certain it would work, but my main hangup is what happens or what do I do if it doesn't work?

I've only attempted it once (handshake induction) on a really good friend (thought he'd be a good subject as I know he's been hypnotized before), and had the 'deer in headlights' look from him, but just couldn't pull the trigger. I'm pretty sure if I would have continued, he would have went under.

My fear is that when I command someone to sleep, it doesn't work, and I'm left looking like a bit of an idiot. The other thing is a bit of a trust issue. If I attempt to hypnotize a friend using a handshake induction (without their consent beforehand), and it doesn't work, they'll obviously know that I was trying to hypnotize them - which I feel would make me look 'shady' and they would probably lose trust in me (I guess for good reason... haha... but of course they'd think I'd be hypnotizing them for malicious reasons to make them do stupid things - which may be true... :D ).

Do you, or anyone else, have any suggestions on how to get over this? Or what to do/say if a handshake induction doesn't work?

Thanks

If it doesn't work it doesn't work, it's not a magic trick.

Start small, gain confidence, do sticky fingers and other suggestability tests to plant the seed in your friends' minds that you are a Hyponotist but also to improve your confidence. They have to believe in your abilities, but more importantly as Anthony says, you have to believe in them. Going straight to a handshake induction from nothing is rather like shaking hands on a first date and asking if they like golden showers.

Thanks for the advice Heckler... although I'm not sure about the golden shower comment... haha!

My arrived today. Not read it yet but it's good to see Dave Elman, the inventor of the rapid induction getting a well deserved mention.
