It is indeed inspectable, you can even take off your shoe and hand it to them for full inspection.

Is the gimmick something you could buy? Like could I go to store and get supplies for it?

You could buy the gimmick, or something that is very similar if you knew where to look but telling you what it is would be exposure. I would say that you're paying for the method rather than the gimmick as it's a fairly cheap and available gimmick in certain places.

What you're wearing will also make a big difference

Intruiged? then buy the DVD as it's not a huge price to pay for something of this nature.

avoiding the "sound" - have thumb and forefinger between where noisy parts of gimmick meet before activating.

making feasible - this does work itself once set up, but you really must add a little movement and acting etc to make it look like what you are suggesting happened did. In that respect, the gimmick does not do ALL the work, its about 50/50 from you/gimmick ;)

I was filming for TV today, and last night one of the other magicians has this.

All I can say is WOW! It looks 100% better than in the demo, I would highly recommened it.

I'm definately getting it when I get my Euros changed back into Sterling

For some reason, I didn't like the trick that much. First impression, looks pretty nice, so I guess the effect is pretty good. But giving the trick a little bit of thought, I get more negative to it.

My main reason for that is, at least here in Norway, people would never stop you on the street or even mention that your laces are non-tied. They wouldn't care. Or, if you were lucky, an old 90 year lady would tell you. So as I see it, I would never be able to do the trick. Of course, I could go up to someone and say "Hey, check this out", but, nah, don't like the idea.

Nice effect, though, useless for me.

I understand what you mean Rune, but you could think of doing it in a differnt way, such as you have your shoe lace untied when your table-hopping, 'walking-arounding' or performing street magic and then notice that your lace is untied.

No stranger would tell me my lace was untied either lol

i baught this today n i have to say i am VERY pleased with the method...its just that i cannot perform it with any of my shoes. i wear roll top timberlands (well and a lot of leather and gators but needless to say since they dont have laces i shouldnt even expect to perform with them)
what really ticked me off was that the magic store i purchased it from said "oh yahh dont worry about it your shoes are great for it".
but still this is a VERY amazing effect and i cant wait until i get to try it. well i have to go sleep now, i need to go shoe shopping tomorrow

Hey guys, first post ever - just like to say I just got this trick and I really like it alot. I think what made me like it was a woman I performed it for said "are you a wizard!?" (thats never happened to me before, I'm only a newbie magician) so that was cool.

Easy to perform for a newbie like me, and looks awesome. Fairly hard to screw up as well.

people tend to forget when buying tricks that you need to have a situation to perform it.

Do you really want to be stood around for 1/2 hour before some points out your laces are undone.

even then it isn't that good in my opinion.

Not exactly impromtu if you get my drift.

I think it's a great trick. Baffled everyone I performed it for. As far as being impromptu, it's borderline. It takes about 10-15 seconds to reset, but that's not much of a problem. It makes a very soft noise that is hardly noticable (your ear has to be right next to the gimmick). I honestly have no beef with this trick. I give it 9/10 on an impromtu scale and a 10/10 on a regular performance scale.
