ok here's my review for Roy Kueppers' "Superman Coin Bend":

Effect:
You ask a spectator for a coin and you pull out a sharpie and ask for them to sign it. they do as you say and you take the coin fro them. you then proceed to bend the coin. slowly and surely you overcome this "vigorous" task. you give the coin back to the spectator and ask them "was that your coin?" it is. the signature is on the now bent coin.

Angles:
the angles are very good. I say you can do this trick completely surrounded. but if you do this trick sloppy you might expose from the angles. 9/10

The Gimmick:The gimmick is very "neat." it is not noticable unless you do the trick sloppy. 8/10

The Instructions:
The trick comes in a nice little box full with the gimmick and instructions on how to perform and set up. the instructions are ok but not very clear. there are only 8 pictures and that is for one version of the trick. you will need to mess around with the gimmick in order to make it best for your needs. 7/10

Price:
Yes its a little pricy but you get everything you need to perform this miracle. the gimmick is ade very well and will probably last you 'til the day you die. 8/10

Overall:
I give this trick a 8.3/10
this is an incredible trick that I know I will use a gain and again. just be sure that you practice in front of a mirror to get every angle perfect in order to succeed in presentation.


Pros:
1. there are two versions (one with sleeves and one without sleeves)
2. Can be done completly surround
3. the coin is the same coin that the spectator signed (no coin switches)
4. You can end completely clean, depends on what version you do.
5. Can be done anywhere, anytime!
6. you get to hear "holy sh!t!!" alot

Cons:
1. For the people that live in the US you have no problem but for the rest of you some coins don't work.
2. Instructions could be a little clearer
3. Price could be cheaper


So I hope you enjoyed this review. go out and buy this trick... I know everyone here wants to be superman for a day.

I just got mine a week or two ago....it has been getting a serious work out in my restaurant and street performances........I have a suggestion for you, I will PM you!

I hate the superman coin bend. If you want your hands to hurt and if you want to do a lot of effort for a small trick, then get it. But I don't like it one bit.

hehe yes well i just can't get it to work well really.

I've heard that it's rubbish with UK coins. I was on the cusp of getting one then my chum got in first and found it to be rather unworkable. It's a pity cos I was rather looking forward to it.

i don't really it either, could replicate it with simple "moves"!! tho not with a signed coin

I dont find itthat workable with UK coins. I think ill sell mine as I have not used it to perform once, but spent countless hours trying to work it with no result!!

Well i was thinking of buying one. ID, can you tell me which UK coins can be used?

30 seconds with one of these (or similar) on a Dremel will see it fitting most any UK coin you like!

Good point Tom. Do you use the Superman much then?

I haven't ued it much but when I have I was pleased with the results...needs a lot of practice to make it look natural. When it comes together it is quite a freaky looking, geeky thing!

i found that pennys worked the best. 10ps were to tight

But Tom said that there is a way of fixing this? I'd like to know before i buy one. ID, how much are you selling yours for?
