PSI-KEY - Quick Review.

They say:

http://www.magicby.com/index_files/page0001.htm

I say:

I received mine a couple of days ago.

Very nicely packaged, very well put together.
The DVD gives all the information needed, and I especially like the fact that the flat key can be in the spectators hands, they can see it, then they can close their hands over it, rub it etc., such that there is no possibility that it was switched.
And it WILL bend, and it DOES look like a real key.

The reset takes a couple of careful minutes max.

The suggested presentation suggests using the pretence of using a spectators key. Whether you do or don’t, I think the most important thing is to think through a presentation that reflects YOU. This really does seem the most important aspect.

Now… what this really DOES need, is a good strong, personal presentation by the performer. Get this right and the impact will be amazing.

This does what it says on the tin, and certainly the worries about ‘h***’ have not been a problem here in the UK.
Is it worth the cash? You decide. I’m happy.

Conclusion:

With the right presentation … lovely 9.5/10

Sorry to be a prude but doesn't the first post here expose the method?

Can you give me an honest appraisal as to how practical it is to carry around, Piers. Without, of course, any reference to the method, how long can you keep it in your pocket for example? Do different working conditions or environments affect it differently? Could I, for example, take it to a dinner party and perform it at the end of the meal over coffee?

TIA.

This is the exactly the question I had before I bought. And to be honest, I don't yet know the answer, but the prognosis looks good :)

Piers.

I went to the website to check out this trick. My jaw dropped twice...

First when I saw the effect

Second, when I saw the price tag. EEK! You have got to be freakin' kidding me!

It is silly money for a hobbyist but any worker would get their money's worth with ease. It comes in a lovely case and yes, Yorkshire, it does come with something that should enable you to carry it around with you then whip it out at the end of the evening. Oooh err.

I imagine the price is influenced significantly by the cost of the materials and equipment needed to put this together, plus the fact that it has to be the cleanest bending key effect around.

It is a QUALITY prop...but very one trick...obviously. I have had people FREAKING out as the metal bends in their own fingers and they CAN NOT bend it back! Bold and bal*lsy is what I call it!
