Review

It's an Okito box in clear, acrylic plastic. This has two advantages - it won't tarnish and your audience can see the coin in the box until it leaves. The box will apparently hold seven half-dollars; it's a bit larger than a UK £2 coin. For some reason, they have also added a knob on the lid - this is unnecessary and will prevent some uses of the box.

If you can use an Okito box you can use this, although you will need to get used to slightly different handling. It's larger and thicker than my old brass box. The weighting doesn't seem to help much. All Okito sleights can be used but there will be some restrictions on routines - the box must be kept covered after the coin has gone, of course.

A single page of instructions is included. There are no illustrations. The instructions give a single "basic move" and a rather good coin through table routine, although it's not well described. I would have liked to see a credit for U F Grant, who invented the idea years ago.

Overall 6/10

My main gripe is the price - you can buy a brass one for £10. I would only recommend this if you're already used to Okito handling. I also don't like that stupid knob on the top. But having bought one, I don't expect to be going back to brass.
