Available from
Magicbox - £14.99

They say
The spectator holds a sealed envelope. A freely selected card is signed and shuffles back in the deck. The envelope is opened to reveal a beautifully designed greeting card!

It's hinged open and out leaps a colourful 3D scene in which a smaller envelope "pops up"!

Her brain melts when she removes the contents herself and discovers her own, SIGNED CARD!

Stunningly visual magic!

No reset or get ready - always ready to perform anywhere, anytime!

Do it completely surrounded!

A reputation making mind bender! Finally a card-to-impossible-location needing no preperation, wallet, palming, folding, hiding, jackets, pockets or lemons!

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

1 - Even someone with no previous magical experience should be able to perform this with minimal practice.

Review
This is a very simple and visual card to envelope trick.

The gimmick is ingenious and easy to use.You can use any deck of cards and no set up is needed.Has an instant reset.

I've only been practicing magic for 8 months or so and had no problems with performing this within 20 minutes.

Only problem i could see is with the constant opening and closing of the greeting card could wear the little pop up envelope inside.

Greetings card is not really examinable but no one i performed too asked to see it as they can pull the card out of the smaller envelope inside so they don't even think about checking it.

Overall
9/10 - Does what it says and so simple to use just looses a point on how long the card might last although it is well made.

Sounds good, just bought the self tying shoelace & still looking to spend a few pennies, just trying to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Have to say though this sounds just like a force is made? If thats the case then why buy this or am I way off the mark.

I guess basically can this be repeated (not that you would) but I'm always conscious of people from other tables wondering other & going ahh the 7 diamonds again?

PM me if its easier to discuss? Cheers.

There is no force of a card it can be a different card everytime which they sign.

Isn't it funny how one mans love is another's dislike.

I got this today & was very disappointed. Mostly at the build quality, all I have done is play with mine 2 - 3 times loading & unloading & already a part of it has broken.

Ok so this only needs to be glued back down but this glue has to go where the card loads, so a good chance I'll make the load even worse, plus this is going to be a recurring problem. Once the card in in the envelope you ideally want the spec to pull the card out, but its such a tight squeeze the envelope is soon gonna come unstuck again pretty soon & should it become unstuck during performance...

Also the load is awful, getting the card to load in the first place is fiddly, having to force the thing in sometimes, when the card does load it will slide at an angel & stick, so you have to twiddle with it to get it straight, if you don't push it fully in you get problems with the envelope when you open up the whole 3D display.

I also own the effect which I forget the name of by David Regal, summink to do with envelopes, (its not an effect I ever use) but the load on that was smooth.

So unlike the previous reviewer I would have to give this a 2/10. Yes the effect would be nice but the workmanship on this is terrible & as said has broken on me after 2 - 3 plays.

:(

I saw an item from Steve Shufton called 3d Paradox (it offers a wizard and magician style). The effects sound identical, but they look like two different products. Can anyone elaborate on whether or not these are the same thing? I was interested in picking one up, but if the quality isn't there, I might pass.

It is the same thing actually, not sure why it goes under 2 different names.
