The Effect
The totally versatile sticky stuff—XAW is a special formulation which is designed to be 'just sticky enough'.

After years of using wax, I thought it was time to have a little rethink about this great magicians' resource. After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, I eventually got a unique blend of wax which has all the properties I wanted:
Hard when not in use, super-soft when kneaded
Just sticky enough... not over-sticky or gloopy*
Won't leave a waxy residue*
Not fragranced or scented
Super-easy to get just the right amount
High quality, and yet cheap/affordable. Value for money!
Let me therefore introduce XAW. Shaped like an X this 1/2 oz block of wax measures about 1 inch x 1 inch x 1/2 inch, and yet has a grand total of 36 edges... yes, THIRTY SIX EDGES... making it really easy to scrape of the required amount with your nail. The unique X-shape also has 16 'outer corners', again making it simple to get a measured amount every time you use it.

And of course, because of the rugged design, the whole thing won't break into bits or get lost.

Review
Wow! Not only is this the cheapest Magician's wax I have seen, it's also some of the best.
One of the main problems when aquiring a blob of wax during performance is the finnicky way it has been supplied, people have found ways round this with certain containers and the like, but that problem is alieviated with X-Wax, due to the shape.

You can easily scrape some wax into your fingernail without even looking as there are so many edges on it, and the X is a good size and will last your a fair time.

I roadtested it out on some of my favourite effects which uses wax, such as C.O.C, various card vanishes and colour changes I do, some coin effects and with IT and it worked like a dream with all of them.

It has got quite a stickiness to it which is strong enough for magical parephenalia that uses MW and quite invisible when rubbed onto cards.
Most wax is a brown colour, but this is a creamy light yellow and much more inconspicuous than other waxes I have used.

For the price and the quality, this is a real bargain especially if you perform in situations where you may need to subtly get hold of some wax.

It's usually hard to find those little touches that can improve a tried and tested piece of magicians kit, but NUMS have done it. The angular shape and discreet colour does it for me.

Ful marks, the improvements on standard wax are ones that are not purelty aesthetic, but practical. You will be thankful of this little block when you're in the field.

Mhh dunno how they're called in English but in Germany we got wax pads to keep the candles straight... it's the best stuff ever (same properties u said)

costs like less than a euro for a lot of these pads...

This is wax specifically designed for magician's use and with all respect, is much more suited to the purpose. The 'X' shaped block means it's far easier for you to access during a performance.
I performed some effects using a normal deck and managed to get some on my thumbnail very quickly and discreetly for a colour change effect I perform. The specs will never think there's anything 'special' about the cards as they have handled them for the previous effects, so the colour change of a card comes as a complete shock.

Just to let you know why sometimes you see 'X-WAX' and sometimes 'XAW'...

When I first started developing this a couple of months back, I badged it 'X-wax'... basically because of the shape.

Once it went online as X-WAX, I took a look at keyword rankings etc. and realised theres' LOADS of uses of the word 'x-wax' out there.

So, it's become XAW.

Oh, and by the way, I've now got my mitts on the first batch of SOFT XAW... it's brill.

This wax is superb for thread work and don't forget it's excellent for cards too. As I stated before, a lot of wax leaves a coloured residue which can be noticed, but due to the colour XAW doesn't.
I do an effect using a blank backed card and some wax (simple one but a layman killer - and easy to do!) and XAW is perfect for this.
The stickiness lasts quite a while too as I did quite a few performances of this effect.
I also used it to fix an old Rising Deck and it worked like a dream.
