A startling visual transformation of an isolated ten pence that instantly turns into two 2 five pence coins!

Review

As with Attack of the bag http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic24898.php I saw Craig Petty demonstrate this earlier and I loved it.

The simplicity of this is brilliant and its SO easy. You can do lots with it and use it as part of a more comlplicated routine, should you so wish.

The gimmick is simple and we all know simple is better. Its clever also though, and it allows for an INSTANT and VISUAL change of a coin.

Change a 10p into two 5p pieces, or a 2p into a 10p or any other coin for that matter. Use it for visual coin transpositions and even mentalism!!

Also I received Craig's notes ( Craig Petty and Russell Leeds ) which gives 5 effects possible using the quick change gimmick.

Small enough to sit comfortably in your pocket, this will definately be carried with me from now on.

Overall

Rating: Effect/item: 9/10, Quality of goods: 9/10, Value for money: 10/10

Once again, for a poxy £15 you get a bargain. And with the notes I received with it, the effects were worthy of the £15 price tag by themselves.

For a simple, to the point and powerful effect, you cant go worng with quick change. Im one of the first to pick this up and Im glad I did.. now take this off the market!!

NOTE

In addition to these routines, I was also in a very priveleged position to witness Craig demonstrating a number of effects from his upcoming project. All I can say is the new release he is about to release is going to take the world of coin magic by storm. Im sworn to secrecy on this project, but I got a sneak preview and a bit of an inside look and the next project is going to be a bloody killer!! I kid you not!!

The routines I witnessed were absolutely mind blowing and are definately workable in real world settings.

I can't say too much more, but do get excited.. because if you are into coin magic you will love what's coming, and if you're not you will be!!

i received this today. Looks well made and a nice gimmick. My version had no instructions though - is that normal? I can invent a handling routine but you mention 'Craig's notes'? I've asked supplier (world magic shop) if I should have instructions so I'll see what they say. Any suggestions?

cheers

The rather nice guy called Costas who runs World Magic is a TM member under the username of Gochos The Greek. If you PM him I'm sure he'll be able to do something for you.

It's a well made piece of kit with lots of potential. I've also got a clean bulldog clip (almost identical) which is good when people say 'can I see that'

I did some stuff today changing 2p into a single 1p (based around the story of tough times right now, recession, money losing value ... blah, blah..

Think of the potential, borrow 2p from spectator, convert to 1p .... that's 1p profit. If i do the routine 8000 times, I can buy 'coinvexed' ......

I've changed my second clip (if you get my drift). I bought a some NiceDay bulldog clips - exactly same size but in black (they don't do all silver). I painted the original with black enamel paint (you can get this in a modeling shop for about £1) and it looks identical to my duplicates.

After the first 'wow' factor - and a quick switch - you can have the duplicate clip in your hand in case someone asks to see it. It gives a second 'wow' when they realise that no gimmick was involved.

Does anyone know if this trick can be done with any coins (for use with holey moley)? Or borrowed 2p coins? And can it switch to any coin, i.e for a coin bend?

Thanks :D

I start with borrowed 2p which changes to 1p (slight handling involved) I guess you could use the 1p for a coin bend but the 2 p has ' gone'. You could make a different coin appear but there are size issues. The new coin is smaller than, the one you start with.

Thanks.

Could the trick work with any coins then, or only a 2p (I'm not fishing, I just need to know if it will work for what I have planned)?
