The Effect

You take pocket hank or medium silk from your pocket. From you other pocket you produce a small shiny ball. You rest the ball on your arm so that you can grab the hanky by both corners and cover the ball. The ball begins to rise and float mysteriously and even rest on top of the hank. Then you thow the ball in the air and catch it.

I would give it about a 2. There are no sleights used, but the gimmick (yes, there's a gimmick) takes some getting use to.


Review

I like the effect, it is basically what it says a mini version of the zombie ball. With the gimmick it is hard to get fluid motion out of the ball and make it seem like a natural float, but with parctice this can be acheived. The ball itself is about 1.5-2 inches in diameter. It is made of plastics and looks like a disco ball and therefore is not smooth. This causes a problem combine with the light weight of the ball and the rough surface it is easy to get the ball caught on the hank and have it fall off of the gimmick. Again lots of practice can reduce this.

Overall

It might just be that I need to parctice with this alot more but right now I would give it an overall rating of 6/10
