Tom,
Thanks for that. I've wondered several times whether it was worth £30. My reservations have always been around whether the method might be similar to Future Zone and there are only a limited number of possibilites, so someone flicking through the calendar to find their date could quickly spot some repetitions. You've reassured me enough, I think, to reach for the credit card. On second thoughts my partner and I are off to Venice soon for a romantic weekend so I'd better wait until my bank balance has recovered from that magical experience!

A version of this effect can be found on Bob Cassidy's Mental Miracles. Does take a fair time to make it up but for around the same money you get that effect ( but you have to make it ) and quite a number of other strong effects.

Hey !!

Have got the BC DVD and like the way he presents the trick as part of his mentalism routine as he presents it on the DVD....I haven't bought the trick (obviously) coz it is explained in detail on the DVD, but some of the 'extras' that he adds to the presentation (especially the checkpoints on the props he uses to make it even EASIER not to screw up!!) are worth the price of the DVD alone! I have performed this mentalism miracle several times to a larger group and it does give you the credability to go on and perform some more 'mentalist' feats. A sure fire crowd pleaser that one.......£29.99 though?.... the DVD was cheaper!! (and has other killer routines on too!!)

Apologies....

Just read Toads post thru again (sped read it last time) and noticed i kinda doubled what he said!! Sorry Toad! But you are right !!! lotta writing, but the books should last forever!!

Worthwhile maing your own props for this one anyway as there is no skill (just time) involved in making! And if you make your own it kinda looks more personal that a printed version! (i assume that is what ships with the trick??!!)

There is a difference between the marketed product and the one shown in the DVD, I think. Certainly, the ending with the card in an envelope is not quite the same.

I have the BC two diary version (however I only use one). I have been usig it for several years and without fail it gets the reaction that we all want "...but how did you...?"

I use it as a closer to my 5 minute act. The way in which I use it means that if along the way I have been rumbled on other items this will make them instantly forget everything they have just seen.

It is a stunner!

This is an old one I have dug up (proof that the search function does work). Can I ask, yes or no will do, no revelation needed, is the method similar to Bang On?

Totally different method. I now do a jumbo version with a large diary and jumbo card revelation. The pocket version is so great for walk around work.

I have had a 'Collectors Workshop' Chronologue for years and it's a long standing favourite of mine but, to be honest, the photocopied pages make it look a bit naff. I'd love to make my own, a long shot I suppose but has anyone found a suitable "Birthday Book" (yearless diary) to make one of these up?

:) One of my very favourite items it's been with me constantly since 1990.
I remember walking along a hospital corridor in Worcs , to visit my Mum, with my old magician friend from teenage days; Vic Odin( a pro illusionist & escapologest for over 30 years). I performed it walking along!! At the conclusion I found myself walking alone.Vic stood there, way back, gob smacked!
Have used in in lectures to demonstrate straight forward, uncluttered magic but NEVER explained it to other magicians.I just didn't want them to get their hands on it! However, Bob Cassidy has now put it into book and I think dvd form.
No one ever twigged that it is basically Al Koran's 5 Star Prediction & 101 deck combined in a simple, natural way.
I have often thought of re-writing but no one, not even magicians, has ever, in 17 years, queried the diary.

I make mine up using Collins diary inserts and the original holders provided by the Collector's Workshop. My jumbo version uses a 2007-2008 academic diary.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that.

I've just bought myself the additional 'Heirloom' pack with Chronologue matched photo's in it. I think it'll make a nice enhancement.
