Currently I am asenior member having been through the ranks as junior member etc but I wondered.....

should we rename them and the amounts of qualifying posts for each level as magical related.....

Such as (suggested)

Gimmick Junkie
Novice
Trainee
Wizards Apprentice

justs omething a little fun and slightly different!!

i like it that would make it fun and although its not essential it sounds good you could also do something like:

-Jack of spades
-Queen of spades
-King of spades
-Ace of spades

etc or just pawn, kinght, bishop w.e we should hold a poll to compare several ideas and then see which one everyone likes

Nice idea Jordan but I fear it would only further encourage newcomers to spam the site with hundreds of low grade & meaningless posts just to boost their post count!

I do like the idea, I'd Muchr ather be a 'Gimmick junkee' than a 'junior member' haha. however i agree, this is a good idea

lets hope the Admins, think so too!

I think the card idea as in ACE OF SPADES should be a top level poster!! Granted by permission of mods only. Don't really feel the ideaz about the rest of pic cards tho!

MODS can of course always demote and promote according to quality rather than quantity of posts!!

What about in order of talented Magicians/Magic-Artists
with 1 Being the Lowest (leats talented) and 5 being the highest (most talented)

somthing like:

1) David Blaine
2.....3....4...
5) houdini
and so on...

As a visitor to this forum run and organised by others, I'm happy for the mods to decide on what handles members get for whatever postings.

However, I do run my own forum on a totally different topic and I have to agree with Keith, sometimes people post simply to accumulate and move up the rankings. If I was to re-vamp my own forum I would have rankings relating to quality not quantity of posts.

It's an interesting concept but I would definitely not all David Blaine the worst magician, in fact, he's actually quite good.
and Houdini is far from the best magician out there. There are loads better than him. But not a bad suggestion.

buit they are ok, i know david isn't the WORST magician, just added a bit of humour, But i did mention 'Magic-Artsits' As in, Magic BasedActs, and houdini is one of my all time faveorites.

I agree about quality when I said about changing number of qualifying posts I didn't say in which direction lol, I think the status is a fun thing that can be run with strictness and sensibility with mods able to upgrade or demote a members status depending on their behaviour and quality of posting!!
