Bizarre Magick

A room for Bizarre magic discussion. For the last twenty years I've done several mediums of magic all which I've enjoyed. I have also belonged to several clubs and originations such as the I.B.M. and S.A.M. Also forums such as the magic cafe. I have seen a rise in the Bizarre field which for a time was mostly a underground field of our art form. It is in this field where I have regained my passion for magic. This forum by far has been my favorite and I would like to have some place to discuss ideas outside the view of lurkers and such.

If you do a search you'll find several such forums including the Shadow Digest and though it is not fully functioning at present, DragonSkull in the Uk is most excellent, I believe Joe is still running the ICBM Newsletter Group through Yahoo or one of the other "older" styled forum bits.

I'm not positive but I do believe Freddie Valentine is host or co-host of a forum associated with Lebanon Circle.

The only other (though highly censored and tightly controlled) resource that I'm aware of is the bizarre section of the Magic Cafe and it's rather rude off-spring which I believe refers to itself as the Bizarre Magick Forum. . .

There are other forums but only by invitation for the most part, at minimum you must be sponsored by a member in good standing and even that's no guarantee of membership.

Indeed. A number of TM members (including Bob Cassidy) also have access to one such forum. Hang around here and ask the right questions, Kalen, and you may be invited.

Ask some good questions and say the right things and who knows... Something bizarre might happen!

Is anyone interested in a bizzare magicians meet up? Or is their one that already goes on?

Doomsday, Whitby, May 27th - 29th!

Sadly bookings mean I can't be there this year, but last year was a hoot.

I meant more of an informal meeting than a workshop. Unfortunatly I'm almost consistently broke.

Subversive will be there in force.

I should also clarify that there are one or two bizarre forums dotted around the internet where the membership votes on new members. Some people who claim to be big names have asked for entrance in the past and have been denied access because they're known to cause trouble. Besides, they're places where members have to feel secure that what they say goes no further because they're discussing and developing the ideas that push the art forwards. Keep your nose clean, make good contributions, and when there's a membership drive at one of these places, someone will remember and vouch for you.

It's not just a question of asking the right questions though.

Answering the right answers, will also be noted. :)
