We had this magician at our society last night to give us a lecture. He is a cruise ship magician. I have to say the man is bloomin fantastic. His magic is good from a laymans point of view but to a magician you will know the method of some of them pretty much as soon as you see the effect anyway this isnt about the magic. The man is a complete comedy genius he is one of the funniest men I have ever seen. I almost called him as funny as the great lee evans after watching this he is that funny but he does magic. Honestly if anyone get's a chance to watch Mel WATCH HIM. Here's a part from last nights show.

Mel: I make ballon animals what would you like me to make I can make anything a DOG,cat,horse,DOG,sheep,pig,DOG,donkey,bear or a DOG.

Spec: Can you make me an ardvark

Mel: Of course do you want him happy, sad or confused

Spec: Em I will have him happy I think

Mel: Well that's good because he is happy {starts making ballon animal} because mr ardvark is actully going to a party it's actually a fancy dress party and he is going as a dog {finishes ballon sculpture in shape of a dog}

AT THIS POINT EVERYONE LAUGHS AND CLAPS

Mel: No actually I will make an ardvark {starts making ballon sculpture and it pops but Mel carries on twisting and turning ballon to make it look like he is still making it} There you go there's your ardvark a dead one but still an ardvark {gives popped ballon to spec.

Now this isnt word for word but it's how I remember it but this part was hilarious to watch, the man just has natural charisma and he is naturally funny, he is in command the whole time he is just brilliant. Anyway thought I should let you know.

Hi Everyone, after the interest shown a while back in Mel's work here is some exciting news!

I just thought I'd give you all the "heads up" about a brand new project that we're just about to release, by a UK magician called Mel Mellers. Although not generally known to many magicians (mainly because he's always working!), he really is one of our top cabaret performers.

Wayne Dobson, who was sent a preview copy, said the project is "One of the finest DVD sets for the comedy magician that I've seen. This set really is jam packed with material that you will use".

Mel has put all of his working stuff onto these discs (which have a combined running time of nearly 4 hours), which is complete with all the gags and bits of business. You can check out a clip at www.rsvpmagic.com

Best,
Russ (rsvpmagic.com)

There is, or was. He was selling them at Blackpool but stressed they were the last of the print run and no more would be printed. Try contacting Mel and ask if he has any left.
