Is very unwell. Part on an email from Pablo Amira reads:

Finally, I sadly announce you that our Master Mind Reader is fighting against a very aggressive cancer. The doctors gave him 6 months of life...So for that reason we re-activate the "For Bob Cassidy" project to rise some funds for him.

I know he's been unwell for a while but didn't realise quite how bad he was until last week, very sad news about someone who's done so much for magic and mentalism. :(

I bought the ebook to help support him a while back, i saw a picture of him today and really doesn't look good. He was also kind enough to respond to my message after i found out what was going on

Bob's a lovely guy, he's given me some fantastic help and support in the past. So sad that he's so unwell.

I've just heard the very sad news that Bob has passed away.
(I heard this from a post Luke Jermay made on facebook)

I still remember when I first bought his DVD Mental Miracles when I was about 15. It was so eye opening. It transformed me into a new area of magic entirely... mind reading. I've always wanted to learn and perform his Name/Place routine but never quite got around to it (partly because you can't really burn things anymore). Maybe now is a good time to start working on it.
I'm also going to reread some of Cassidy's books and watch Mental Miracles again, not to mention his fantastic penguin lectures (his solo lecture and his combined lecture with Richard Osterlind).

I feel like I've spent so much time learning from him, even though I never met him. Was really sad to hear this. He'll definitely be missed.
