For those of you that haven't heard Teller speak .....

.... I was watching "The Big Bang Theory" on E4 this evening (Series 11, episode 24 - The Bow Tie Asymmetry) and there was a familiar face on there playing the role of Amy's father, Larry Fowler. (Her mother, Mrs Fowler is played by Kathy Bates).

Anyway, I checked on IMDB and my thoughts were confirmed, Larry Fowler is played by Teller himself.

He's quite subservient, but he does actually utter a few words, for those of you that wanted to hear the great man speak :)

You're one of the lucky ones then .... us mere mortals will probably never have the opportunity to meet such people in real life :(

When they do live shows both Penn and Teller wait outside outside the venue to meet fans, sign autographs, pose for photos etc and Teller speaks quite a lot during that time. They stay outside until everyone has had a chance to meet them even if it takes an hour or more. After their show in Birmingham a few years ago Teller said how much he enjoyed chatting to fans, the show was work, the after show was fun.

I think their three part series "Magic and Mystery Tour" is still up on YouTube, as they're not on stage he's quite chatty on that! Brilliant programmes, well worth a watch.
