I was thinking of treating myself to a marked deck, & was
wondering if any of the members could recommend one to go for.

Cheers.

I think the Fournier deck is amazing.

You can buy them HERE. Scroll down to the 505M Marked Deck.

It's the most deceptive, yet easy to read deck I've ever used. However, if you use Bikes for other routines, this may not be suitable.

The Fournier deck is good. It has clear markings which are not clear to the specatator.

However, I use bikes for everything else and this is a deck swap too far for me. I now use the Boris Wild deck. The markings are a bit more obscure and can be a bit awkward in subdued lighting but once you are used to where you need to look it is quite easy to use.

There is a book called Hidden In Plain Sight which is well worth investing in. I details all sorts of marking methods, describes how to make your own marked deak and has an excellent section on working with the Boris Wild deck

Thankyou gentlemen, as always, very helpful.

I recently aquired Boris Wild's "Remarkable Card Magic" & he does go into some detail
with regards to his own marked deck.
So it's nice to get opinions on other decks.

I notice that Pheonix do one at £22
Also Bicyle have released a new so called "best yet" deck, but it's a bit pricey at £30.

I never thought I would see myself looking to use one of these decks, but there are some nice routines
to be had using this method, & at the end of the day for me, it's all about the WOW!! factor.

Cheers Chaps

Thanks for this Johnny, I'm sure it's a very enlightening read, but it's much
easier for me to buy a couple of decks.
Some of the routines I am now working on are taking up most of the spare time I have

If you looking to save a few pounds Carl, this helped me a few years ago. Only took me about 1 hour to complete. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsbJQaaG ... re=related"

There are some very nicely marked decks out there but personally, don't waste your money. You could spend £20 on a marked deck or you could spend a tenth of that on a normal deck and mark it yourself. I think the half and hour to an hour spent doing that is worth the money you save. A plus is that you don't need to learn the system as after marking each card, twice, it's pretty well cemented in your memory.

Another recommendation for hidden in plain sight. The Boris Wild marked deck are nice as well. The phoenix marked deck are nice and clear and you can see the markings in a fan or spread. A cheap option is the David Blaine marked deck. The markings are rather large and many people have complained that they think there too obvious, but I've never had any issues. At between £3 and £6 there cheap enough that you can burn through them quickly. You can do effects where you'll destroy cards to eliminate suspicion of marking for example.

This is what I'm interested in, does anybody know of any more marked decks that can be read from a spread?

I agree, although I the Fournier deck is much better value.
