as i say im new to magic and spend a lot of my spare time going through sites on magic. i have come accross stuff called flash paper and cotton. from what i understand this creates like a momentary fireball to go with certain tricks. is this right? also how do you light it and whats better the cotton or the paper?
anyone reccomend this for card tricks or can it not be set up easily for card magic?

:)
Flash paper is brilliant stuff, though to be kept away from kids.
It is usualy lit with a lighter though spark devices for the flash wool or electronic things can be used.

Other than that it is as you described, great for revealing stuff or vanishing stff as it creates a great ooooooo from the crowd and supplies a great bit of coverage or misdirection.

You can fit it into any routine that you think it would help, it's one of those things limited only by your imagination :)

Hope that helps,
BaB

Hurrah for Flash products!

Awesome and some would say, essential part of the arsenal. For some reason, even just ripping a strip of Flash Paper out and setting fire to it is considered magic by most laypeople...

e-magictricks of course good selection and you can mail them for advice too on whats best.

Age and Status in your Profile
To help other members form a more visual picture, it would be nice to include your age and 'magic status' as a small signoff in your profile.

We're standardising this to an additional bit of info in the Location panel in your profile... and the format is

(??A : ??S) where as the ??A = your age, and the ??S = your status, chosen from the list below...

EN = Eager Newbie
AH = Amateur Hobbyist
SH = Skilled Hobbyist
WP = Working Professional
CP = Career Professional

So, for example - your Location could be

"Kent, UK, (30:WP)", meaning you're a 30 year old working pro...

This is NOT obligatory, but may help during conversation!

Visting Professional Magicians - it would be much appreciated if you could please make yourselves known to one of the Moderators!
