in all seriousness that is something i had concidered, but i didn't want to push her, she showed an interest watching me pratice infront of the mirror for hour after hour, she often tells me how the tricks i trying to perfect are done , so i bought her a few childs magic bits, mainly the rope to silk which she loves to show her friends, she is getting quite good with it now, maybei should get her that magic set for christmas, any reccommendations, please remember she is only five.

i wouldn't recomend any of the so called kids magic sets, but you could get her a change bag and some silks a handle type would be best.
this is not a blatent sale but you might consider cups and balls that has a chop cup pm me for more details.

There's a posting from some time ago where ages were mentioned. Yankee Tom was horrified that he was the Old F*rt until I confessed and took the title off him. At the time of e-mailing, I have led 55 years of blameless life. (Unless you count the speeding ticket in March 1988, doing 53 in a 30 MPH area, fined £48 and awarded 3 points. That wasn't too bad but the aggro I got from Mrs.Mandrake for years afterwards was totally over the top!)

mandrake my venerable friend you cant expect me to remember all your ages i have hard enough time remembering to turn on the computer.

so i have added my age to my signature in my profile, ive done this because my style of posting can make me seem imature and juvenile as its meant to.
but the flip side is that sometimes people dont get that I'm being flippant and post accordingly, if we could see an aproximate age someware in the post it would certainly help.

for example we know peoples location, which allows us to suggest places they can go, find stuff etc in thier local.

so help the mentaly challenged and add an aproximate age to your signature please thnxs.

On a more serious note, we all seem to get on well here so any additional info can only help form and maintain the mental image of other members. As long as nobody starts asking for actual photos to be posted!

How many of you when you were thinking about what you wanted to be would have considered being a ballet dancer? I wouldn't imagine many of you would. Ballet dancing is usually thought of as a girl thing, but there are still male ballet dancers. Magic is usually thought of as a male thing, but there are still female magicians. If you see a magician on the tv, it's most likely to be a man. This therefor can make girls feel that magic is not something they can do. If most football players were girls I doubt many boys would feel ok about taking up football.

Yet, despite all the schoolboy humour associated when guys refer to women doing 'male' things, we all know there's no reason why women and men can't be every bit as good as each other at magic. In fact, there are probably advantages associated with each gender which would mean great variety.

some could have a real problem or two with body loads as well.
especialy in flowing dresses, or tight fitting outfits, and they certaily would'nt want thier bum to look big would they.

like all things male orientated it will take time for women to get established and prove they are as good as us some even better, now theirs a thought mrs david copperfield and mrs pen and teller........oh heavan.
