This is a coin effect where a coin vanishes on a specs palm ,yes its a great effect, but because of the sky revealing program its to dodgy to use now because of being caught "i know how you did that etc" but none the less its a good efect but you can change coins aswell which is better i think.

overall ,6/10

Learn some good vanishes instead.

I've not found anyone that has not been baffled by the Raven yet.

Another good way of using it is to have an expanded shell over another coin, which you can glue a small picture of a card onto.

Force this card, pretend to screw up and move on to a trick with a coin... Vanish the shell leaving the coin with their card in your hand. This blows the spectators away!

The show on sky one shows one possible use for the raven and thats the dissapearing coin, there are far more effets that can be performed with it. Buy the vid, its worth the price. The programme was not all that damaging.

I have had problems with the raven, firstly i have found that i need to thick clothing or its very easy for the spectator to find out what is going on. Secondly i used the effect where the big coin vanishes and becomes a smaller version of it, the problem is the smaller coin tends to get knocked by the larger coin as i vanish it, again giving away the secret. this can be solved with some magicians wax but i don't like using it.

6/10

try cupping your hand a bit, that way the small coin sits well below the shell and won't get knocked away.

The raven as mentioned is a very strong effect and not too hard to carry out well. The Raven video certainly helps. However it's not the most convenient trick to use (in terms of setup) but the effect is well worth going through a bit of trouble.

i got this a few days ago, it looks good but it came with an american coin wich is not good for us british folk. Not that much practice is needed no difficult sleights to learn.
