The Kanibal Kings

Postby andycoates » Nov 29th, '03, 18:05

Does anyone remember an effect called the kanibal kings? I just rediscovered it in the past week while generally messing with the paste boards. The effect goe a little something like this.

The four kings are removed fom the deck and shown to the spec' one at a time, the story emerges how each of the kings were kanibals and they each had their own way of hunting for their prey.

The kings are then counted 1 by one and the story is told how every day they all go into the woods to find other cards to eat.!!(getting scared?)

Then the left hand flicks through the pack while the kings are in the right and flips a card fom the center of the pack, face up onto the top. The card is then fed to the kings in the right hand and when the cards are turned over they are all eights,(they ate(eight) and ate and ate...get it?)

I first discovered this in Magic magazine Feb 2000 and the effect has laid redundant in my brain for a while untill i accidently done one of the moves whle messing around and it all came flooding back.
A cracker of a trick, all presentational stuff.
PM me if you want more info..

Oh and another thing, one you have all the moves down this is one of those tricks where the performance just oozes out.

For advice on anything involving rubber or latex just ask Yankee Tom! (Now, now don't be rude - it's all very innocent and part of what he does for a living!!)

Good advice, I did just that last night and he was most helpful.
Though I would advise careful surfing if you are of a nervous disposition.
