Bleached

Postby Luker21 » Feb 5th, '04, 17:52

This is a new trick i just got.
effect:The performer shows 3 face up jacks of the same suit and a blank card. He removes 1 jack onto the table and transfers the blank in the packet to the middle of the two remaining jacks. Suddenly the blank has magically moved to the table and there are 3 jacks in his hands.
The performer then puts the blank on top of the pack and reverses the order to take the blank to the bottom, but somehow the card has stayed on top. The performer then tells the spectator to put the blank on the bottom and he will keep it there. but he shows the four cards and the blank has dissapeared!
For the finale, the performer gives the spectator two of the jacks he has and he keeps two. he then tells the spectator to hold his hands together and blow on the cards. the performer does the same. the performer then proclaims that the 4 cards have had the ink blown off them and the spectaor looks at the cards to see that they are all now blank!

What i think: I think this i s a good trick. part of its charm is that it builds up to progressivley more effective and unexplainable illusions. I have performed this trck on my brother and he was dead impressed. I think people enjoy tricks more when there is a number of tricks built into one (if you understand what i mean) but i am unexperienced so this may not be true.
the trick does take practice and includes a certain count which everyone complains about, including myself. but after an hours practice it begins to come on leaps and bounds and is an enjoyable trick to even practice.
There are also a lot of sequences to remember but again this comes in time.

Difficuly: 3

Cost: £9 (Davenports)

P.S. i couldnt find another review for this trick but it might be in their under another name, so sorry if a review similar to this is already kicking around.

i have just been doing this trick recently and have got some amazing reactions from people. I find the finish to be an absolutely brilliant one among spectators.

Just wanted to tell everyone it is still highly recommended. If nobody can find it but wants it i would happily pick it up and post it to them next time i am at davenports (too bloody often!)

I have just found the post on Bleached. This was one of the very first tricks I have purchased and as has been said it takes a while to present properly. This is one of those tricks that can have a jaw dropping effect on people if your patter and actions are in sinc. I always carry this trick as it packs small and plays well to a banquet or wedding type of do
