WHAT YOU GET: 9 poker sized Bicycle cards w/vinyl wallet and step-by-step instructions with set-up illustrations.
EFFECT: Two packets of face up cards are presented (In my version they are all Jack of Spades). The first packet is counted through one at a time and shown to be all Jack of Spades. The packet is then placed face down on the table (the backs are red Bicycle). The second packet is counted though and shown to be all Jack of Spades. One of these Jacks are discarded to the table and one of the face down cards from the first pile is picked up and placed on top of the face up Jacks in you hand. You now count through them and show them to be all face down. This is repeated several times, showing the cards to turn face up, then face down and discard one card at a time until there are two piles of cards on the table. One pile is face up and one pile is face down. Now, with a magical gesture, you pick up the pile of face down cards and count through them, showing them to be all Jokers! Next, one of the jokers is taken face down and waved over the pile of face up Jacks and is turned over, showing it has turned into a Jack of Spades! The second pile of cards is now picked up, and with a final magic gesture are turned over one at a time, revealing all the backs to be completely different! All the cards can be examined!

COMMENTS: This is a great packet trick that is easy to do if you are good at the Elmsley Count. BE SURE you are flawless at the elmsley count and can do it multiple times! The instructions are very clear and include set up photos. Patter is included for 2 different routines. Paradigm Shift is baffling to the audience because first part of the trick (making the cards magiacally turn face up and face down repeatedly, showing them to be only Jack of spades faces and red Bicycle card backs) is a great set up for the surprise ending. The video has no sound so you don't get to hear the patter and I rush through a little otherwise it would take even longer to download. But it will give you a very good idea of how the trick looks since it is a little tricky to describe.
