NAME: Cardician's Dream
PRICE: $7.50
TYPE: Close-up card trick
DIFFICULTY: 1/5
ANGLES: Surrounded
PERFORMANCE TIME: 1 minute
EXAMINABLE: Kind of
RESET: automatically & too fast
WHAT YOU GET: 3 cards w/vinyl wallet and step-by-step instructions.
EFFECT:
Place a prediction card to the side (9 of Clubs). Have a spectator choose a card from a full deck (you must force a card). Show the prediction card. It's wrong! With a lighter, lamp or hot coffee, heat up the prediction card and it magically changes into the chosen card (5 of Clubs) right before their eyes.
COMMENTS: This is a very poor trick. Just looking at the cards included (3 identical cards) you notice 4 of the clubs (the ones that disappear) are very light in color. The trick had promise but when you heat up the card, 4 of the clubs vanish from the card. That’s the good news. The bad news is the 9 and club pip also vanish! Leaving no clue as to what card is left unless you count the remaining clubs (5 remain). That’s not good enough for me. If the number 9 changed into a 5 then it wouldn’t be a bad trick. Also the card begins to change back before you have time to show the spectator that anything has happened. So by the time they examine it it’s changed back into a 9 of clubs! The cards are bridge size and are not Bikes, they are some other type of card.
RATING: -1/10
Would I buy it again? NO!! I returned it!
