Video - "John Lovick's The Reparation"

Effect - A card is freely selected and signed, the card is folded and torn up into four pieces. It is then put back together by the magican one piece and a time, and is in full view the whole time.

This video is excellent. John Lovick takes David Regal's "Piece by Piece", and melds it with Guy Hollingworth's "The Reformation" to make one great peice by peice, in hands card restoration. The video clears all the confusion on this trick, and explains everything in complete detail, using over the shoulder and replay shots. A great video for anyone who does magic of anykind.

This one differs from the Blaine effect, the restoration is done in the magicians hands. That said, each quarter is repalced/restored one at a time in full view of the spectator which tends to get great reactions!

I fully agree with the origanal review, an excellent video which is well worth the money. Was particularly impressed by the attention to the small details of the presentation.

I have this video and consider it to be completely different to Blaines Torn & Restored card. THis one requires quite a lot of skill and is very visual; you watch card being put together piece by piece.

A similar trick is also done by Guy Hollingworth.

Blaines trick, which ive neva tried, but know how to do, look a lot simpler; just a small amount of prep and thats all. BUt as usual Blaine gets hyped up more than other magicians for doing something no way near as good!!!
