It is a palm, but not a 'classic palm' or whatever it is called

And its not a Tenkai either.

Nicely done. And it's certainly not a one handed pass :D.
The move is the "Snap deal" by Lennart Green (I didnt hear any sounds so I'm not 100% sure, but it looked like it) and is thought in Green Magic Vol.1-3, don't remember which one of them.
Eef (a forum member here) is very good, specially on this sleight, so he'll prolly know exactly were it's taught.
Anyways, nice vid!

Its not exacly the snap deal, its just a card switch using the Lateral Palm. Green teaches you the snap deal on Volume 7, but he teaches you the Lateral Palm on Volume 1.

A word of caution to any one who is thinking about buying these DVDs: Be prepared to rewind a lot of times as his explanations are not the greatest. I would still heavily recommened them to an intermediate/advanced magician.

Guys, there's no name for this "move", it's simply an application of the Lateral Palm. It's a very good application of the move though, and nicely done :) .

The angle issue is only a problem if you don't have the correct posture. I've been working on one of Marlo's Miracle Changes which has simmilar angle problems. The greatest issue I had was making my actions look comfortable and natural, whilst still covering the angles.

Having said that, the problem could be addressed by using a covering action of picking the deck up as the "dirty work" is done. But then again, if you've already got the card in the palm, and convinced the audience that you've replaced the card in the deck, why not produce it from some impossible location instead of the top of the deck.

Nice demonstration though, thanks for sharing :)

All the best,

Will Wood

Yeh I agree, but I'd be keen to find out if there ever was a name for it.

Im chuffed with the amount of replies I received, having just posted a card control! But many thanks for your comments. My favourite being the 'Its an invisible Pass' - I am extremely proud that the move was good enough to be missed entirely!
Anyway, I better start producing something more worthwhile!

Thanks again, Mark

To me it looked like that's what this is. It was Marlo's Miracle Change into the deck. But from the discussion here I am beginning to doubt myself. Either I don't understand the technique in the video or I am calling something the Miracle Change that is the wrong one. I know it as the one Brad Christian teaches on Ninja 2.
