I must admit it fooled me for a moment, then the penny dropped

It's always hard getting that kind of humour across in writing.

Hmm - it would seem like an apology is in order from a couple of other people too. I think it's a bit hypocritical to complain about being offended and picked on (however misguided that may be) and then make offensive comments like this..

Prices

Sorry, could we return to the pricing debate. How hard would it be to set up a magic shop search engine? Have a look at http://www.bookbrain.co.uk and let me know if any of the computer techies could find a simple solution like that?

It wouldn't be too hard to set something like that up - it's just the time needed to do it. From a development point of view it's relatively easy to do.

Isn't this what www.bargainmagic.co.uk does?

Just tried it. It not only comes back with an error regardless of the search phrase, but with rather too much debug information for my liking.

hmm - that's what I was thinking of earlier. I knew something like that had been done, but I just couldn't think of where I'd seen it.
I actually like the idea of shopping around, though - it's part of the fun.

I also don't think it's too big an issue that different places price things differently - it happens with any product.

That was retaliation.
Not malicious intent.

So to that I say: Mark first.

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I only just picked this thread up at the end and all that I can say is thanks to NickJ for bringing some sense back into it!

When you read it from beginning to end you certainly can see how easy it is to wind people up

On the pricing thing,

Most places seem to have similar prices to me accept on the odd item. It seems some things are the same throughout but it is definaley worth shopping around. Ive been wanting to get Expert at the card tabel and Ive found prices range from 4 - 10 pounds which isn't alot of difference (infact its a difference of 6) but percentage wisse its bigger. AQnd that website nickj said about just told me that it didnt find anything and that I should try Google

Cheers,

What does being under 21 have anything to do with pricing?

Edit:I started this by expressing my opinion, and I'm going to finish it. Mark, I'm sorry for not understanding your humour. I think you should also say sorry. I also think that other people owe you an apology as well.
