Actually there's a few sources where it's puplished and credited to Houdini prior to the release of EATCT. However, the move probably became associated with Erdnase due to a combination of both the popularity of EATCT and the obscurity of the previous sources.

I did learn it from Sankey, how well is it described in Card College as I'm getting 1-5 soon and if it is described well in there I wont get EATCT. Thanks for the advice though.

The version I'm doing is from Card College 4 (Euans comments on that should be interesting :wink: ). I am now going back to EATCT as well as some of Euans writings on the matter.

I don't think its an either, its a both!
