shapeshifter

Postby cbyron2003 » May 20th, '06, 20:30

have bought the shapeshifter dvd and have been practising quite a bit recently.
A problem i seem to be having is the obvious change of shape of the card after it has changed, if you know what i mean. the shape of the card is the opposite to what it originally was.
maybe im missing something. any help would be appreciated.
also im interested in other card changed. anyone know a really good book or dvd that might help
cheers

I like the shapeshifter however, like you say the opposing shape is a give away if repeted too often on the same speccy!

I like the erndase colour change best, snap change is good too, but I prefere erndase, because it is easier and cleaner finish.

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!

Trust me, it's not really noticed. I mean, if you spent 10 minutes just doing shapeshifters someone would probably notice but I think the shapechange of the cards is covered by the fact that it has just CHANGED INTO ANOTHER CARD OPENLY! 8)

In hibernation but half awake - will stick my nose in every so often!

When doing the shapeshifter, try to have the card angled diagonally to the deck before the change. This will make the post-changed card lined up with the deck where you can drop it and get a clean finish.

When I began performing Shapeshifter i found that it worked about 90% of the time (even with perfect technique you wouuld get a few wise guys saying 'Hey! you just turned it over!', but since i added the following touches i have NEVER been caught - I flick my wrist anti-clockwise slightly (which helps cover the discrepancy) and move my hand up fast towards the spectator's face. Hope this helps.
