they were pretty annoying but all in all the tricks were good my favorite had to be the samson one where they took that blokes strength (elecromagnets in the bucket?) still it was an awesome show with a new twist.

But everyone's already seen them done! I don't think they'll have the same impact without the flashing lights and funny noises.

Fairly wise to use Bez in that illusion - he's not exactly going to be able to give the trick away.

Lol, he looked as surprised as the spectators

Good show, nice to see 'interlude (A.K.A. A-frame) being used in the basement of the music shop.

I find their style of performance extremely irritating  so this was a big turn off for me.

I saw about 30 seconds while I was channel hopping with the remote and I just kept on hopping!

They were very annoying.

I liked it generally, I thought the Plagues one was the best one. But I was put off by the fact that there were those poor animals crawling/hoping around whilst those two silly women screamed themselves stupid, and moved about. I hope none of them got squished!

maybe tricks of harry potter next?

damn, forgot this was on.
I'll bet this is the only show this year that they don't repeat 50 times on E4.
please post if you notice a repeat of this anywhere.
cheers

Possibly! But E4 do like to repeat things, so keep a look out for it!

I think they probably have that effect on their audiences occasionally too. They're not asking for volunteers, they're grabbing people and telling them what's going to happen to them. They're pretty abrupt, sometimes to the point of being rude. Some of the effects were a bit dubious in taste I think, telling that woman she has the mark of the demon on her, and scaring the £%$^ out of those girls in the dining room seemed a bit over the top (not to mention the fate of those poor wee beasties that probably got squashed). Though it's difficult to know - they may have all been properly prepared and told about what to expect beforehand.

It's obviously their style, and done to be humourous, but it did make me feel slightly uncomfortable in parts. There was some great looking magic though

I can kinda see why they used the screaming girls (who really annoyed me too, can they get much more pathetic? They were afraid of everything!) it made it seem more...impressive, because it was getting a reaction. If people had just smiled vaguely or something, it wouldn't have had the same effect.

But...and don't get me wrong, I have no love for locusts and flies, there is no need to put them through that just to get a rise. Poor animals.

Did anyone notice the really bizarre choice of 'preists' too? I've certainly never seen a man of the cloth like some of those guys! :?

It takes all sorts  Maybe they practised the samson trick on that guy with the half shaved head

They did some good tricks. My favourite was the turning staffs into snakes but it was a bit irresponsible - if one of them slithered away and bit someone they would have been in trouble but I'm sure all the animals used were taken care of including the locusts and flies (eek!)

I like their tricks but I think they can be a little rude sometimes especially with the boils and squirting pus over the audience

saying that I'd love to see a new series of dirty tricks on channel 4 in the autumn

SPECIAL REQUEST

In that we in the colonies don't get these shows I'd really appreciate it if anyone has copies they could send over to me. I'm really curious as to what these guys have done.
