TT and size

Postby AJ82 » Jun 5th, '06, 10:13

Hi, I have a range of TT's as I keep trying to get one that fits well. I even got a Vernet Junior but it still seems too big empty or full. It looks so fake (not through the quality of the TT but due to the size) I dont think I could get away with using it on people. Any one know if you can get ones smaller than the Vernet Junior? I really do have tiny hands!

Alex

A TT is DESIGNED to be slightly large.

If you're still worried about flashing it, get some books or DVDs with TT routines and see how easy it is to hide even a WRONG COLOURED TT.

(I have mentioned here before that I've used impromtu TTs made from foil for a vanishing cigarette effect, and not gotten caught out).

Size, colour, shape, length... all inconsequential.

So long as the TT doesn't literally cut off blood or fall off the hand, it should be fine.

In fact, for BIG loads, I often wear an XL TT which I've made even larger using hot water and then shoving the TT hard onto the end of a rolling pin to stretch it. It's all about confidence, and NOTHING to do with how perfect or invisible the TT looks.

There's been so many threads on this forum about this, and I suggest you have a bit of a search around and a re-think.

seige, The problem I have is not with the use of the TT, I have had many for years now but I have never performed a trick with them for the simple fact that even with the smallest one I own on I can fit my finger and my thumb in it. It really does just fall off.

I did do a search and found some usefull information on the use of TT's but nothing on the use of them with tiny hands or suppliers

I have books and even a DVD on TT's as I thought that my use of them was wrong because they kept falling off but I have now come to the conclusion it is the size. I would take a photo and post it to show you but I think that would slightly give away the TT!!

I am basically after a supplier that may sell one smaller than the Vernet Junior. I have tried to slice a TT in half and trim it and stick it back together but it proves hard to then make the edges match up.

Mrs Seige has very petit hands, and she's fine in a Junior Vernet.

Here's an idea...

Try soaking a Junior in VERY hot water for a while, and then CAREFULLY take it out and try compressing it slightly.

Generally, they shrink before anything else when heated. This may just be enough.

..could you maybe try a little glue of some kind (like changin' glue or maybe even a smidge of blu-tak?) inside the TT that would adhere to your skin instead?...not tried it, but it might work... :?

You can get "LFT"s - perhaps try one of those?!

abraxus, thanks for the site. I am thinking of getting a finger one even if I have to chop a bit of the bottom to make it shorter.

My hands and feet are very small due to medical treatment I was given as a baby. my feet are size 3 and my toes do not bend as the knuckles of them never formed properly. Although my hands are not as badly affected they are quite small.

Thanks for the advise.

Alex

The idea of a TT is to have it as large as possible so you can have a large load.

Try a range of finger T's until you find one that fits your thumb to the first knuckle then try fitting that inside a range of TT to see which TT it fits, then cut the FT right down to ring size & glue it inside the TT. You should then have a TT with a larger load than a FT but which will now fit you to the knuckle.

I hope that makes sense ? :?

A bit of fun and to prove a point with regard to the use of a TT. Have a look at some of the older threads on the subject.
