Razor Blades

:) Davenports do their original version( which was nicked by many) from years ago. It costs £25 plus p/p. Mike Danata does the very neat black plexiglass stand version (like JB's) at £35 no postage. Pic in his catalogue. Imagine a square piece of black plastic standing on one point of its square ie one corner(edge) attached to a flat stand. In other words a square set at a diagonal. There is a large circle cut out of its centre ( ringed with silver) so you can see thru and the blades are inserted into the 2 sides of the square. The square itself is also lined with a silver line.At the front is a large 'Pin' I presume to hold the cotton reel.Looks classy. This I think is the one you mean by automatic version.

i have to say i really rate the davenports one its not to pricey and easy enough to do!

and the important thing to remember is its not the trick that matters but your presentation! remember not to swollow as well as that hurts

Razor Blades

Postby Allen Tipton » Aug 14th, '06, 21:30

:) I did recommend to someone, somewhere a method, I'd 'thought' up, of switching ( with an ordinary handkerchief)the blades based on a billet switch( published, by Harry Stanley i think, in a mental book ) Now I found the identical method today,[/u] re-reading The John Booth Classics, published by Supreme in 1975.Originally it was in Mr. Booth's marvels of mystery. Simple, unfallible and with a great ( made in 5 mins) small stand for setting up.+
All you need is 20 blades. and John B's great routine & ideas.
